This upcoming mid-summer release is Everette's first cd in four years, and his first for A440 Music Group. It is an infectious, funky, upbeat record which showcases Harp's unique energetic style of playing and songwriting. The CD has a mixture of all the elements of contemporary jazz....smooth, jazzy, and funk. Invariably, Harp finds a spot in each song to let loose soloistically, which Harp calls "my selfish moments". "I know radio really doesn't want to hear you get too jazzy, but it's the only way I'm going to grow as a player. All the rest gets a bit mondane after a while. You gotta let loose and just go for it sometimes." Joining Harp on this release will be Earl Klugh, George Duke, Norman Brown, Dwight Sills, Paul Jackson Jr., and many more.
