Violinist Nigel Kennedy and Polish folk group Kroke in a celebration of Eastern European and Mediterranean culture. This album is really quite unique - Nigel brings his classical skills to the table (he trained under Yehudi Menuin) both in terms of compositions and playing style. Yet, the Kroke Band's gypsy sound is in full force throughout most of the album as well, meaning that some of these pieces have some serious adrenaline running through them. Influences from North Africa and the Middle East are incorporated as well, adding to the album's joyful pandemonium. Includes the song 'Ajde Jano' with special guest vocalist Natacha Atlas.
