Apparently Lydia Murdock was hitting back at Michael Jackson's claim that Bille Jean was failure (a UK № 1 hit earlier in the year back in March). However, Jackson threatened to sue over a breach of copyright but it never materialised. Lydia Murdock has not been heard from since although she had a terrible upbringing herself. Nevertheless, a classic song which should have been a much bigger hit than it was.
